The Best Place to Visit in 2026…

…The One That’s Right for You

Every year, the lists come out.

Top Places to Visit.
Best Destinations for Families.
Where Everyone Is Going This Year.

And honestly? Those lists can be fun—and even helpful.

They’re great for sparking ideas, introducing destinations you may not have considered before, and getting you dreaming about what might be possible for your next trip.

But here’s the part that often gets overlooked:

A place being “the best” on a list doesn’t automatically make it the best choice for YOU.

Inspiration Is a Starting Point—Not the Final Answer

I actually love when clients come to me with a list they’ve saved or an article they’ve read.

It tells me what caught their attention.
It gives us a place to start the conversation.

What those lists can’t do, though, is account for your family—your travel style, your energy level, your timing, or what you want this trip to feel like.

That’s where personalization matters.

What Actually Makes a Destination “Right”

When I help families decide where to go, we usually don’t start with a destination at all.

We start with questions like:

  • How do you want to feel on this trip?

  • What does a great day look like for your family right now?

  • Is this trip about rest, adventure, connection—or a mix of all three?

Because the same destination can feel completely different depending on:

  • the ages in your group

  • how much movement vs. downtime you enjoy

  • the season you’re traveling

  • and what this particular trip needs to be

A destination that’s perfect for one family might feel overwhelming or underwhelming for another—and that doesn’t mean either choice is wrong.

It just means travel is personal.

There’s No “Should” in Travel

One of the most common things I hear is some version of:
“We feel like we should do this trip.”

Sometimes it’s Disney.
Sometimes it’s Europe.
Sometimes it’s an all-inclusive or a cruise.

And while all of those can be incredible, the real question is whether they’re the right fit right now.

I always remind clients:
There’s no right or wrong destination—only what’s right for you.

This season of life.
This group of travelers.
This type of experience you’re craving.

How I Help Clients Narrow It Down

My role isn’t to replace inspiration—it’s to help you make sense of it.

Sometimes that means confirming that the destination you’re already excited about truly fits. Other times, it means introducing an alternative that aligns better with your timing, travel style, or priorities.

That might look like:

  • realizing an all-inclusive isn’t actually what you want this time

  • choosing fewer stops instead of trying to see everything

  • or shifting destinations to better match the season or pace you’re looking for

The goal isn’t to check a destination off a list.

It’s to come home feeling like the trip was exactly what you needed.

When a Trip Fits, You Feel It

The trips people talk about most aren’t always the biggest or trendiest ones.

They’re the ones where:

  • the pace felt comfortable

  • everyone had space to enjoy themselves

  • and the experience matched where they were in life

That’s what makes a destination truly “the best.”

Not because it topped a list—but because it was right for you.

If you’re using lists for inspiration but feeling unsure about what actually fits, that’s where I come in.

Let’s talk about what you want from your next trip—and find the destination that feels right for your family, not just popular on paper.
