Frequently asked questions.

Planning a trip should feel exciting—not overwhelming.

These FAQs are here to clear things up, bust a few myths, and show you what it’s really like to work with a travel advisor who gets families like yours.

  • Because planning a great trip takes more than just picking a place and booking a flight.
I help you cut through the noise, avoid costly mistakes, and plan a trip that fits your family—not someone else’s idea of “perfect.” You could spend hours researching and hoping you got it right… or you could hand it off to someone who does this every day (and actually loves it).

    Working with me means:

    • Less overwhelm

    • Thoughtfully curated options

    • Smart strategy and trusted support

    • And often, added perks and value you can’t access on your own

It’s not just about booking—it’s about making it easier to travel well and make memories that stick.

  • If you’ve already booked a small piece—like flights or one hotel night—it may still make sense to reach out. The earlier I’m involved, the better I can ensure your entire trip flows smoothly and reflects your goals. Custom travel works best when it’s thoughtfully planned from the start—but I’m happy to take a look and see how I can help bring it all together.

  • I work with families who:

    • Want to hand off the planning without losing control

    • Care about getting it right, not just checking boxes

    • Are curious, intentional travelers who value personalized experiences

    • Are often the planners themselves—until decision fatigue kicks in

Whether you’re traveling with teens, toddlers, grandparents, or a mix of all three, I take the time to understand your family’s unique needs and build a trip that fits you just right.

  • Not necessarily. In fact, it’s usually about the same cost—or better—once you factor in:

    • The time you’ll save

    • The exclusive perks and amenities I can secure

    • The costly mistakes you’ll avoid with expert guidance

Think of it like this: you’re still paying for the trip either way. The difference is whether you’re also paying with your time, energy, and mental bandwidth.

  • Not at all. I plan a wide range of travel—adventure-focused, all-inclusive, luxury, off-the-beaten-path, multi-generational, or a mix of it all. Every itinerary is tailored to your family’s travel style, pace, and goals. You don’t have to fit into a box here.

  • That’s actually a great place to start! We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to get out of the experience—connection, rest, exploration, ease—and I’ll suggest destinations that align with your vision. It’s all part of the planning magic.

  • Absolutely. Many of my clients are Type A planners themselves—they just need someone they can trust to take the reins. You’ll still have input, but you won’t be buried in research or left second-guessing every decision. It’s a collaborative process, with me doing the heavy lifting.

  • We’ll start with an exploratory vacation call—a relaxed conversation where I get to know your goals and preferences. Then:

    1. I’ll craft a personalized itinerary

    2. You’ll get curated options with expert insight

    3. I’ll handle all the logistics, bookings, and backup plans

    4. You travel knowing everything’s been thought through

  • In most cases, yes. I’ll guide you through the options and help you choose the one that best fits your trip and comfort level. It’s not just about cancellations—it’s about peace of mind.

  • Yes to all of the above. Whether you’re dreaming of a luxury resort, river cruise, guided tour, or a family villa in Tuscany, I can help you book the entire experience—start to finish.

  • Ideally, 6–12 months for big trips or peak seasons. But if you’re working with a shorter timeline, don’t panic—reach out anyway, and we’ll figure out what’s possible.
